1964 - today

In 1964, the just 30-year-old Peter Broszinski became the new partner of the company Carl Geo. Heise. He was appointed by the then CEO Andreas Harmssen who died a much too early death only a few years later. That was the time when Peter Broszinski realized the need for change and started to reposition the company. At a time when many old and traditional Hamburg foreign trade companies had to resign, Peter Broszinski reorganised Carl Geo. Heise from an export trading house to an import company and thus laid the foundation for the still successful car accessories business you see today.

The first steps the company took in this industry was with the import of spikes for car tires from Finland. A little later, the practical rensi® shell mats for the vehicle interior which were a swedish invention, were added to the range of products. When in the mid-1970s the spikes were prohibited in Germany, the rensi® shell mats became the main product. Throughout the years this specific product was constantly evolving, both in terms of material, as well as in terms of color and shapes.

What began in the 1970s with a distribution for only about 50-60 vehicles, today consists of an inventory for over 500 current car models.

The idea of the shell mat was transferred to the trunk in the 1980s. Here, too, the Swedish producers pioneered and Carl Geo. Heise was the first supplier of the new trunkliners on the German market. A perfect fit, the anti-slip surface of the mats and of course the optimum protection against dirt and moisture in the carpet are the reason for the great success of the topfit and rensi^® liner trunk mats.

Since the 1980s, the second generation help run the company.
Dipl.-Ing. Andrej Broszinski and Tanja Shakiba have helped shape the car accessories section and are now leading the daily processes of the company.

A change of location from the old office rooms in Hamburg-Eppendorf to new offices with a large warehouse in Hamburg-Hummelsbüttel in 1995 increased the stock capacity and thus enabled advanced delivery of the goods. Today, almost all orders are delivered on the day of purchase or the following working day.

Today, Carl Geo. Heise is a modern family-owned import and wholesale house, which combines tradition and the future-oriented car industry to a longlasting success story.
